I hate to be one to rub it in, but not only did we not have a remarkable 2006 Hurricane season as had been predicted by the global warming alarmists, but it appears that April 2007 is shaping up to be the coldest April in 113 years.  Of course the Kool-Aid drinkers will tell you it's just more proof of man-caused global warming - everything that happens is because of man-man global warming!  Mmmm, drink that Kool-Aid!

Recently, global warming alarmists were using pictures of so-called "stranded" polar bears on (gasp) ice flows.  An Austrailian news station has exposed this example of standed polar bears as a hoax and nothing unusual for polar bears anyway.  Of course I didn't need the Austrailians to tell me this, I knew this from first hand experience.  Around 1984 I spent several summer months up on the Arctic Circle doing site surveys for some new radar sites.  We would regularly see polar bears "stranded" on ice flows as we flew in our helicopter from site to site along the coastline.  (I'll post some pictures if I can dig them out from over 20 years ago).  But this is the kind of BS that the liberals use to tug at our heart strings - and the kind of kool-aid that mind-numbed liberals love to drink!  It's called "emotional appeal," and unfortunately this sort of propaganda works on a lot of people.  Here's the whole story:  Austrailians Expose Polar Bear Hoax. 

As pointed out in this Austrailian TV video, Al Gore used this picture of a normal occurance and misrepresented it to tug at his audience's (aka kool aid drinkers) heart strings.

Poor Gabriel London, documentary film maker and avowed global warming alarmist, is frustrated that Mother Nature isn't cooperating when it comes to the liberal environmentalists' attempts to scare us all to death over their global warming agenda!  Despite Al Gore's best efforts, to pump up the volume on "Climate Change,” more people than ever before are growing brains and beginning to question the hoax that is “man-caused Global Warming” and are becoming skeptical or believing that the threat is exaggerated, according to Gallup polling!  

London’s frustration is due to the inconvenient fact that lately extremely cold weather around the globe is starting to influence people’s opinions on the topic og Global Warming.  You can read all about Poor Gabriel’s frustration in his Huffington Post blog.

Leonardo DiCaprio is fast becoming a leader in the global warming alarmist movement.  That's fine, it's his right to be wrong.  On his official web site he has a link to a short movie called "Global WARNing" which is a fine piece of production, but is as full of crap as a toddler's diaper.  Ok, so here is my Open Letter to Leo DiCaprio:

Leo, I know you believe what you are reciting about man-caused global warming.  But you are wrong.  This is the biggest scam ever in human history and you, sir, are drinking the Kool-Aid.  You can put all the theater you want into the message, but the message is still a lie.

Group-think is an amazing thing.  I recall, as a young boy, visiting Dachau (it’s a camp where Nazis killed thousands of Jews) and wondering how so many people could have believed something that was so obviously wrong.  We are witnessing the same sort of “group-think” today in the form of the global warming hysteria.  I have seen the reports and I have looked at the data (I'm a Senior Analyst with degrees Math, Electrical Engineering and an MS in Computer Science) and there is so much bad science in all this it isn't funny.  Ask any of these IPCC experts who make all these dire predictions to show you how they validated any of the computer models they used.  No disrespect intended, but I’m not sure you even know what I mean by "validated models."

I know I'll not change your mind, Leo, but know this - I will do all I can to dispute your bogus claims because it is the little guy like me (and my kids) who are going to pay to implement the drastic (and completely unnecessary) changes your movement demands.  China is the number one contributor to so-called greenhouse gases and neither you nor anyone else is going to stop their relentless growth.  However, you probably will be successful in damaging the US economy and slowing or stopping the growth of other 3^rd world countries such as those in Africa, thus ensuring that they continue to live in squalor for years to come.

As Ronald Reagan once so aptly said (paraphrasing) “it's not that liberals are dumb, it’s just that so much of what they know is wrong.”   Mr DiCaprio, I'm not sure what credentials you have beyond an unremarkable High Shool career that marks you as some sort of expert on climate change?  The scary thing is, there are a lot of people who will buy into every one of your wrong-headed assertions simply because you are a good actor - at living in a world of make-believe playing like you're someone else.

Only 30 years ago "experts" were telling us we were headed into another ice age.  That was bogus then and this is bogus now.  Good luck in your endeavors, I’ll be out here fighting you every step of the way.  – C Stanton
