ImageRecently, global warming alarmists were using pictures of so-called "stranded" polar bears on (gasp) ice flows.  An Austrailian news station has exposed this example of standed polar bears as a hoax and nothing unusual for polar bears anyway.  Of course I didn't need the Austrailians to tell me this, I knew this from first hand experience.  Around 1984 I spent several summer months up on the Arctic Circle doing site surveys for some new radar sites.  We would regularly see polar bears "stranded" on ice flows as we flew in our helicopter from site to site along the coastline.  (I'll post some pictures if I can dig them out from over 20 years ago).  But this is the kind of BS that the liberals use to tug at our heart strings - and the kind of kool-aid that mind-numbed liberals love to drink!  It's called "emotional appeal," and unfortunately this sort of propaganda works on a lot of people.  Here's the whole story:  Austrailians Expose Polar Bear Hoax

As pointed out in this Austrailian TV video, Al Gore used this picture of a normal occurance and misrepresented it to tug at his audience's (aka kool aid drinkers) heart strings.
